Puig de Sant Nofre

Puig de Sant Nofre is a mountain located in the Pla de Mallorca, on the border between the municipalities of Sant Joan and Sineu. With an altitude of 254 meters, it forms part of the Sa Bastida estate and is declared a natural area of special interest. Various conservation efforts are underway in this area to protect both its natural environment and historical heritage.
The geological characteristics of this mountain are distinctive compared to other surrounding areas, as it features an Upper Eocene stratum covered by a thick layer of para-reef calcareous deposits. These formations, associated with reefs or nearby areas, exhibit sedimentological features that can also be identified in other locations such as Bonany and Randa.
